There’s something a little surreal about becoming an owner of the business where you grew up.
I spent countless hours at Smart Insurance Agency as a child, then worked here throughout high school and college. Eventually, I came back to the agency full-time, never imagining that one day my husband, Nick, and I would have the opportunity to lead its next chapter.
Today, we’re incredibly honored to do just that.
Carrying Forward a Family Legacy
Smart Insurance Agency has been serving Marionville and the communities of Southwest Missouri since 1958. Over the years, the agency has grown and changed, but the principles behind it have remained remarkably consistent: take care of people, provide dependable insurance guidance, and support the community that supports us.
Nick and I are grateful that my parents have entrusted us with something as precious as our family’s legacy. We don’t take that responsibility lightly.
But while our names may now be on the ownership paperwork, our clients shouldn’t expect Smart Insurance Agency to suddenly become something different.
After all, it seems a little irresponsible to fix what isn’t broken.
